This policy explains how The Driveway Experts, trading as Dropped Kerb Nottingham, uses the personal information you give us. We are the "data controller" for that information, which means we decide how it is used and we are responsible for looking after it.
Who we are and how to contact us
The Driveway Experts, trading as Dropped Kerb Nottingham. For anything about your personal information, email info@droppedkerbnottingham.co.uk or call 07595 510190.
What we collect
- When you use our quote or contact form: your name, phone number, email address (if you give it), house number or name, postcode, the service you need and any message you add.
- When you call, text or WhatsApp us: your phone number and whatever you tell us about the job.
- If you become a customer: the address of the work, the details of the job and payment records.
- How you use this website, unless you decline cookies: anonymous statistics such as the pages you visit, the buttons you click and how far you scroll. This does not include your name, and you can switch it off at any time. See our cookie policy.
How we use it, and why we're allowed to
- To reply to your enquiry, quote, arrange a survey and carry out the work. The law allows this because you've asked us to take these steps before, and as part of, a contract with you.
- To keep the financial records the law requires. The law allows this because it is a legal obligation.
- To understand how our website and adverts are performing. We only do this if you agree through our cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time.
We never sell your information or use it for anyone else's marketing.
Who we share it with
- Our installers, who carry out the work on our behalf. We only give them what they need to do the job, such as your name, address and phone number.
- Your local council or highway authority, when we apply for permission on your behalf (for example Nottingham City Council, or Via East Midlands for Nottinghamshire County Council).
- Companies that help us run the business: Web3Forms, which delivers messages from our website form to us by email, and our email providers (MXroute and Google Gmail).
- Google: Google Analytics gives us anonymous visit statistics unless you decline cookies. If you accept cookies, Google Ads also helps us see how our adverts perform. If you arrived from one of our Google adverts and send a form, the ad click reference from the page address is included with your enquiry, so we can tell Google Ads that the advert led to an enquiry. If you have accepted cookies, when you send a form, a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address and phone number may be shared with Google, only to measure whether one of our adverts led to your enquiry.
- Microsoft, only if you accept cookies: Microsoft Clarity shows us how visitors use our pages, through heatmaps and recordings of visits. It is set up to hide what you type into forms.
Some of these companies may store or handle information outside the UK, including in the USA. When that happens, UK data protection law requires the information to be protected to the same standard.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't go ahead: deleted after 12 months.
- Customer records: kept for 6 years after the job, to meet tax record-keeping rules.
- Website statistics in Google Analytics: kept for 14 months.
- Your cookie choice: stored in your own browser until you change it or clear your browser data.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
